An Important Message from the Editors of The Xcelsius JournalOver the last two years we have acummulated a wealth of ideas, techniques, and practical solutions in using Crystal Xcelsius. This collection of articles constitute a set of best practices within the industry. In the months ahead you will see new articles, industry vignettes, and more! PivotTables are the theme for our upcoming issue (Issue No. 6). There will be files for you to download and you'll have the ability to post comments to the articles.
The Xcelsius Journal publishes articles by the foremost experts on Crystal Xcelsius and dashboard technologies.
To download the spreadsheet and source files that accompany the articles you will need to register which is a one time process. You'll be pleased to know that The Xcelsius Journal is entirely free of charge. Separate from the articles we will from time to time, publish interactive multimedia based tutorials, dashboard templates, and other material which will be subscription or fee based.
The files for download are contained in the File Vault on the left panel or top menu links of our online journal. Downloading files, posting comments, and participating on the forums require that you register and log in. Registration is a one time process.
Our online journal is designed to blend (or mash-up ) a pragmatic "Just the facts, Ma'am" approach with a visual kaleidoscope of imagery and thought provoking ideas. We tend to think that this is one of the few web sites that both Joe Friday and Andy Worhol would approve. We hope you agree.
A couple of more points are worth mentioning about our journal. It is not just a glossy "ePublication" with fancy screen shots. Most of the articles have interactive dashboards and visualization embedded in them. Additionally, at the end of every article is a link to a discussion board, so that if YOU the reader, have something insightful and helpful that other people like yourself would be interested in knowing, there's an appropriate moderated venue to post to. It is our intent to bring you into the fold on the publication process. Publishing should not be unidirectional (from only us to you); it needs to be bidirectional.
We always welcome thoughtful suggestions and new ideas that you have. So please click the Contact Us link at the top of the page to tell us how we're doing.
Enjoy reading our interactive eMagazine.
